Thanks for a great 2013!!!

Wow! Another year of Sweet Pea Photography done! Thank you to all of my clients because if it were not for you I would not be a part of this great industry! I met a few more families this year, but many of you returned to me for 2013 and that is the biggest compliment a photographer can receive! I did over 100 shoots again this year and that amazes me. And I said I was cutting back, ha!
This coming year I will be cutting back. I am working on my doctorate and that has to be second to my family, so Sweet Pea is taking a third place slot in my life. It doesn't mean I will not be shooting, but it does mean it won't be as nearly as much. My plan is to do one day a month with 45 minute sessions. January, February and March are booked. I still have 2 available slots for April and have not released May or June's date yet. The session fee will remain at $75. I will still be doing newborn photography, but will not be booking first year collections after the new year. I will of course continue to honor those that I am currently in the middle of. Thank you all for being such a wonderful client family and I look forward to working with many of you again in the coming year!

Chase-1 year

Oh Mr. Chase how I have loved capturing your first year! I cannot believe how big you have gotten. This happy little man was nothing but smiles and movement today. He is just a happy, happy boy. We pretty much had the jewel box to ourselves, which was awesome. Chase was able to just be on the go. I hate when these first year packages end. I feel like part of the family after capturing a first year. Thanks to the Collins family for letting me capture your awesomely fun family! Happy Birthday Chase!!!

Allison-2 year

I really cannot believe this little lady is already 2!!! I met her when she was just a month old and have had the honor of capturing life's moments with her and her parents. Is her George dress cute or what?! Happy Birthday Miss Allison! Can't wait to continue to watch you grow! Thanks Dan and Emily for allowing me to watch and photograph your baby!

Oliver-9 months

I have the best client families! This little guy is just so smiley and he was even not at 100%. I just cannot believe he is getting so big. And isn't that little santa suit the cutest ever?! I tell you, this beautiful momma has the best props!

Stocke Family

Miss Frankie was all over the place during this shoot. She loves to move! Which is completely typical of an 18 month old. I think this is the hardest age to capture, but it is a great way to remember them at this age. You will look back at these pics and think oh, remember when she didn't stop moving and laugh. I just love watching my littlest clients grow and this is one family I love seeing! Thanks for always picking me! Merry Christmas!

Cotton Family

This was a very special shoot for a completely awesome and special family. We headed to the jewel box, where it was photographer central, luckily I don't mind nudging my way in ;) I had so much fun capture this time for them! Hope you like your sneak peek!

Family

What a shoot this was. The weather was so nice and we headed to the Jewel box with this group. I wanted to do the majority of the shots inside since it was so windy outside, warm, but windy. So we did just that. We were done and decided to head out for a couple of shots and were then going to call it a wrap. Mother Nature did not agree. I was able to snap a few outside before it let loose on us and letting loose is an understatement. Every last one of us was drenched, except for the baby. Holy Moly!!! The 90 seconds it took to get from the sidewalk to the inside of the jewel box was 90 seconds too long. I do have to say that this family were great sports about it all!!! I hope to do another shoot again with them some day and do it with better weather ;) They were so great we even did an after shot. Here is your sneak!

Carter-18 months

I just cannot believe how big Carter has gotten. He is just everywhere now! We lucked out with the weather and were able to do the majority outside. He just LOVES the leaves and he probably could have played with them for hours. He is just a cutie!

Driscoll Family

You met Miss Hannah over the summer, and now she is two. This time she brought her family along for the photo shoot, including her dog dina. Is she just a cutie or what?! I just love her smiles and little personality she has. It took a few minutes to warm up to me, but once she did it was awesome! Can't wait to see you in February with your new baby brother/sister!!!

Konersmann Family

Meet the Konersmann's. Kristie won a session with me from a silent auction. We headed to Laumeier with her fun family on a beautiful November day! I had a lot of fun with this group! Thanks Konersmann's! And a big thanks to her boyfriend for serving our country!!!

Audrey-1 year

One of my other favorite little redheads! Audrey is one year! Going to miss seeing her pretty little face every few months. I just love that I get to know my clients well when I do a whole first year with them. It is just so much fun! Miss Audrey did not want to show me any of her smiles, but her personality came out at the end of the session. Can't wait to see you all in 6 months!

2014 change

Changes are coming for 2014. I need to spend more time with my family and give more time to my Ed.D. program. So I will only be shooting one day a month, but will have 5 slots available that day. I will be opening the sessions 2 months in advance. After being home both days this past weekend for the first time in I don't know how long it made me realize I am cheating my family out of time with me. As much as I love photography something has to give and it cannot be my family any more. They have suffered through the last few years and they don't deserve that. Thanks client family for understanding!!!

Ava-9 months

Ava has to be the most smiley baby I have ever photographed. She is always happy and has never shied away from me or my camera. She is just a little sweetheart and I cannot believe that the next time I see her it will be her 1st birthday! I just love doing 1st year packages and watching these little ones grow!

Hughes Family

Say hello again to the Hughes family. We headed to Longview Farm Park for this session. What a great place to shoot. These boys were busy, busy during our session and Mr. Owen did not like me or my camera! He turned every which way to not look at me.
